Age I started modelling … 36 People don’t know this but … I refuse to share the recipe for my highly requested decadent chocolate chunk cookies which just happen to be egg, milk, and soy free! To me, beauty is … so many different things. It is an ability to exude confidence, kindness, resiliency, integrity, and courage. True beauty is eternal. I learned about beauty from … my family.  From my mother, who’s always there for others, I’ve learned generosity and integrity. From my father, whose love is unconditional, I’ve learned about acceptance and forgiveness. From my husband’s thoughtfulness, I’ve become more self aware. From my children’s energetic nature and inquiring minds, I’ve learned patience.  And from Oprah, I’ve learned everything else! I hope to bring to the fashion world … the notion that it’s never too late to pursue your dreams. Beauty is to be found and celebrated at all ages.  I feel most beautiful when … I see beauty in my children.  My favourite quotation is … I trust that everything happens for a reason, even when we’re not wise enough to see it. – Oprah Winfrey  I challenge the beauty ideal by … embracing and celebrating physical qualities and attributes that are rarely represented in the fashion industry, starting with myself. From my short nappy hair, to the gap between my two front teeth, I walk with confidence because I am beautiful.  If I could tell a young girl anything I would say … always believe in yourself. Whatever is different about you is what makes you beautiful and special so embrace it. Recognize and appreciate the same in others because an attitude of acceptance and celebration will allow your beauty to shine.  In the modelling world I would like to see … an inclusive and diverse industry that reflects true society.  My ultimate modelling job would be … fun and provide me with an opportunity to work with interesting people while learning something new.
