To me, beauty is … Unspoken…It’s a feeling. It’s that calming hush you feel inside when you see or sense something that just makes the world melt away…if only for a instant.  You may not know this but … I am extremely passionate about the arts. Dancing and music are loves of mine. I study a north Indian percussion instrument called tabla. I also study the north Indian classical dance form of Kathak as well as latin dance styles such as salsa, meringue and and samba…oh and I just started swing!  I absolutely can’t live without … chocolate … my iPod … dancing … and really pretty shoes. It’s true – I need them all to feel at ease! I feel most beautiful when … It’s a warm summer day and then it starts to rain. I run outside and splash in puddles … I mean really … umbrellas are overrated. My favourite quotation is … “The minute you stop asking why is the minute you stop growing as far as intelligence is concerned. “ – Osho  I try to make others feel beautiful by … making eye contact, and listening to what people have to say. I think when people feel respected they feel beautiful. Also, I’m always the first person to compliment someone on a really cool ring or a sassy pair of stilettos!  If I could tell a young girl anything I would say … Live your life fighting for your dreams (because you may have to fight), always be persistent, I know it’s hard but rise above negativity, trust your intuition, and work with this chaotic beautiful universe to make it happen. Oh and your mom’s always right…sorry!  I challenge the beauty ideal by … being a straight size 12 model. My whole modelling career I’ve never quite fit into a straight category or a plus sized category. I really dislike boxes … and being put in one has never been my interest. I have never chosen to conform to what people expected I should be and let me tell you I’m thrilled about the real woman revolution. I wear clothes that fit – I don’t make myself fit into clothes I want to wear! What I would like to see more of in the modelling world … Ok narcissistic comment I know but I have to say it … ME OF COURSE!!   My ultimate modelling job would be … Victoria’s Secret’s first curvier model. I’ve loved VS for as long as I can remember and working with them in a role that would empower both the company and myself on a fuller figured level would be a dream come true …but shhhhhh! That’s just between us!
